OC Register: "Broadcom gives S.A. schools 100 interactive whiteboards"

By FERMIN LEAL

SANTA ANA – Broadcom Corp. has donated 100 multi-media projectors to schools in Santa Ana Unified to help boost technology in the classroom.

The interactive whiteboards, or 3M Digital Wall Display Units, allow teachers to conduct lesson plans on the 85-inch diagonal screens. The device captures handwritten written text, numbers and diagrams to view, save, edit and share. It can also run video and audio presentations.

Each unit costs about $2,000.
